BikeFest 2012: 17th Annual Rural Heritage Tour
Superior Courthouse, 106 E. Margaret Lane

The Tour begins at the Superior Courthouse in downtown Hillsborough, and offers a choice of several rides: a 31-mile half metric, a 62-mile metric century, and a 100-mile English century. All will have rest stops and water breaks. Check in at 6:30 am and ride begins at 7:30 am.

For those who want a much shorter ride, there is the free, family-oriented Historic District Fun Ride. The Fun Ride begins at 9 am is a seven mile tour of historic sites in and around Hillsborough.

Talk with chefs, owners, and farmers while exploring Hillsborough's history and architecture. Enjoy the warmth and friendliness of the town and, of course, plenty of food... handmade chocolates, locally roasted coffees, famous scones, local beer, organic wine, and a stop at one of the most esteemed restaurants in the Southeast - Panciuto! Meeting Time/Place: Please meet at 10:45am in front of Saratoga Grill, 108 S. Churton Street, Hillsborough. Parking is available along the street or in several nearby public parking lots. Notes: Note: Tour runs rain or shine. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Wear comfortable shoes; walking distance is approximately 2.5 miles. Please bring a government-issued ID if you plan on participating in beer and wine tastings. Register in advance. If you are trying to register for a tour the morning of, please call 919 237-2254 to check availability. Sorry, no exchanges or refunds. If we have to cancel the tour due to extreme weather, we will refund your money.
